[LISTEN] Four bills to be considered by Ramaphosa and his administration

A number of bills are set to be considered by President Cyril Ramaphosa and his administration in the coming days.

According to BusinessTech, Justice and Correctional Services Minister Ronald Lamola said that they include the Cybercrimes Bill, which is currently awaiting deliberation by the National Council of Provinces.

Others are the Child Justice Amendment Bill, the State Liability Amendment Bill and the Prevention and Combating of Hate Crimes and Hate Speech Bill.

Senior lecturer at the Wits School of Law Verine Etsebeth spoke to Nickolaus Bauer on the Afternoon Drive with a particular focus on the Cybercrimes Bill.

This bill lists quite a comprehensive set of crimes, quite a comprehensive fine and then the option of imprisonment if you actually do not comply with this bill, which will become an act.
