A CapeTalk listener from Worcester describes how they were woken up early this morning by the sounds of explosions and went out to see a gas truck was in flames.
It actually looked like Chernobyl out here with a whole bunch of flames and the flames were so big.— Breda, Caller - Worcester
He says they were informed via their Neighbourhood Watch group that the driver di escape the explosion safely but that he hit something which triggered the explosion.

Kieno Kammies speaks to Theo Botha, Chief Fire Officer for the Breede Valley Fire and Rescue Services. In the early hours of this morning, a tanker carrying LP gas had a collision, resulting in a massive fire with explosions, but thankfully there were no fatalities.

The explosion caused four building in the area to ignite and the team is busy with fire fighting and extinguishing, he says.
