'Stuart Baxter is technically castrated,' caller tells Eusebius

What next for Bafana Bafana?

The South African team crashed out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt on Wednesday night after losing 2-1 to Nigeria in the quarterfinals.

Callers on the Eusebius McKaiser Show express their frustrations and who to blame or the poor performance of the team.

Bafana Bafana decided that it can't be business unusual of us winning matches, we need to go back to the good old times when we lose. The Public Protector should stop fighting with Pravin Gordhan and rather use that time and resources and enquire what happened there. I think someone should lodge a complaint.

Eusebius McKaiser, Show host

Stuart Baxter was definitely not a good choice from the beginning. For me, I believe the guy is technically castrated. He can't adapt to the game; if the game changes he does not adapt. He is not good for international football.

Sibonelo, Caller

We can't blame the coach. It is the material he has to work with. Let's see South African soccer for what it is. We are simply not up to scratch compared to the rest of the world.

Tony, Caller

Eusebius, we played like old crocs in the first half last night. I am 73 and I could have played. We lost the game in the first half. The coach should have taken a defender out, put in an attacker. Also, our players aren't committed enough.

Walter Rautmann, Caller
