I think we should reconsider Bruce Koloane's appointment - Minister Pandor

Minister of International Relations and Co-operation (Dirco) Naledi Pandor has requested a meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa to talk about ambassador to the Netherlands Bruce Koloane.

Koloane confessed at the state capture inquiry that he pushed for the illegal landing of the plane with the Gupta wedding guests at Waterkloof Air Base.

Speaking to Eusebius McKaiser, Minister Pador says the Koloane matter is serious.

RELATED: 'Koloane's admissions aren't new, he was disciplined for them,' says Dirco

Ambassador Koloane is in his last six months of his term and he was not appointed by me or President Ramaphosa.

RELATED: Will Bruce Koloane be recalled?

I don't have, at the moment, a decision as to what should be done, but I do believe the matter is serious enough for me to approach the president and say to him should we not consider particular actions.

I think we should reconsider his appointment and that is what I want to discuss with the President.
