Discovery and 947 bring you Ride Joburg - and entries are OPEN!

Joburg’s most iconic cycling event is back – and entries are OPEN! We invite you to get ready, move more and enter Discovery 947 Ride Joburg, happening on Sunday, 17 November at Riversands Commercial Park.

Discovery 947 Ride Joburg is the same adrenaline-pumping challenge, but with new and exciting changes in the mix. Still starting and finishing at Riversands Commercial Park and organised by the same trusted Organising Committee – you can expect the same world-class event that you have known for the past 22 years.

Last year’s flipped route returns by popular demand, spanning approximately 94.7km of thrilling Joburg terrain that you get to own for a day! Supported and hosted by the City of Joburg, this means that you get to cycle safely while enjoying full road closures along the route.

If the full route sounds a little daunting, don’t worry – we have you covered! We have introduced a short ride meaning you can also Ride Joburg whatever your fitness or skill level. This event forms part of Discovery’s commitment to get 100-million people 20% more active by 2025, worldwide.

We are also proud to announce that ASG has come on board as the Official Merchandise Partner for Discovery 947 Ride Joburg. Click here to view their world-class range of cycling apparel.
