Pilot project to build staff houses on school premises gets green light

Western Cape legislature African National Congress (ANC) leader Cameron Dugmore says one of the things impacting on the quality of education on historically disadvantaged schools is safety.

With the approval of the legislature, Dugmore will be going ahead with a pilot project to build staff houses on school premises.

Kasselsvlei Comprehensive High School in Bellville South will be the first trial school.

Early next year we need to move on the pilot. This has the potential to be broader than simply two schools.

Cameron Dugmore, ANC Leader - Western Cape legislature
