DA fails in motion of no-confidence bid against eThekwini mayor
The Democratic Alliance (DA) in eThekwini was set to table a motion of no confidence against eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede during the city council meeting on Wednesday but was unsuccessful.
According to Eyewitness News reporter Nkosikhona Duma council speaker William Mapane raised issue with how the DA used the meeting to have the motion.

Council speaker said that he had dealt with the matter with DA leader in eThekwini Nicole Graham in writing and therefore he did not feel the need for him to engage in the matter in council. That is how the matter ended.Nkosikhona Duma, Reporter - EWN
