[LISTEN] Sassa says system is up and running after network issues
Social grant beneficiaries affected by a technical glitch in the the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) system can expect their August payments as the system is now up and running.
The agency says it was experiencing network issues on Thursday morning.
National spokesperson Kgomoco Diseko says the problem has been resolved.
The reason that some of our beneficiaries have not been paid today is as a result of some network connection problems that we had in the morning but as of 12 this afternoon it has been resolved and everyone is beginning to receive their grant payments for the month of August.Kgomoco Diseko, National spokesperson - Sassa
