In the the third episode of the podcast series Behind the Politics: She fights her battles silently, Eyewitness News reporter Mia Lindeque sits down with Communications Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams.
Ndabeni-Abrahams opens up about losing three brothers - two to death and one to prison for rape. She also responds to recent reports of infidelity in her marriage and how she stands firm in her faith.
Lindeque shares more details on the interview.
She says she spoke to the woman [rape survivor] and for her, she feels the justice system is sometimes so unfair towards women and here she is in her own world where her own flesh and blood did something and she says he must rot in jail.— Mia Lindeque, Reporter - EWN
She bases everything on her faith, every upheaval that she experiences. She says there is no time to think about what the media are writing about her, she says she goes to God and actually has a support system... that has been the central theme throughout this conversation with her.— Mia Lindeque, Reporter - EWN

For me it is about women first. No man must abuse any woman, so I sympathise with the victim first. There is no issue of blood where wrong is concerned. That is why they call me dragon lady.— Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, Communications Minister
