Minister Zweli Mkhize releases National Health Insurance Bill

The long-awaited National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill draft has been released.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize unveiled the bill on Thursday in Pretoria.

The bill aims to contain the cost of comprehensive public health care by prioritising primary and preventative services.

Every single South African will be covered, also permanent residents as well as inmates.
