Vanderbijlpark woman pepper-sprayed while breastfeeding

A Vanderbijlpark woman has recalled how she was pepper-sprayed in her car while breastfeeding her baby this week at the Vaal Mall.

Itumeleng Tsoeua says an angry motorist complained about the way she parked and yelled racial remarks at her before spraying pepper spray into the car.

Tseoeua says the woman also threatened to shoot her

I went to Vaal mall with my mom, I found a double cab parked. My mom went inside the shop and when she came back, she came with these two white ladies and then they told her to tell me that I must move my car and park nicely. By the time she was explaining what they said, the lady who was a passenger knocked on my door and said: 'Are you stupid, are you an idiot?'

When I tried to answer her, she was insulting me and threatened to shoot me and my 'baboon'.

Itumeleng Tsoeua

She sprayed the pepper spray inside my car. My child was choking at that time, we could not even open our eyes at that time. They left and they laughed.

She says her son has recovered.

On Monday and Tuesday he was screaming, his face was red.

Tsoeua says police have been searching for the culprits but there has been no progress.
