Nine out of eleven Gauteng municipalities close to 'dysfunctional' status

A committee has been set up to investigate allegations of fraud, maladministration, and corruption in municipalities in Gauteng.

Cooperative Governance MEC Lebogang Maile made the announcement on Tuesday.

Out of the eleven municipalities, there are only two that we can safely say are run well. The other nine are on the verge of being dysfunctional with different challenges.
