Being in Europe made me realise how unsafe SA women feel, says Eusebius

Eusebius McKaiser is back from his three-week-long holiday in Europe and shares observations of his time away.

Eusebius reflects on one particularly eye-opening moment in Barcelona that made him ask two important questions.

He describes a morning where he took a walk alone.

I sneaked behind this woman and she didn't realise there was a man behind her. She looked at me and continued, not scared at all.

Eusebius McKaiser, Show host

The difference there highlighted how fearful women are to walk alone in South Africa.

I thought to myself when will I live in a South Africa in which women don't have to be scared in public spaces? When will I live in a South Africa in which I am not pathologised a black man as a would-be rapist and murderer?
