Banking assistant 'Naledi' to help tackle financial exclusion in SA
Co-founder and CEO of Botlhale AI Solutions Thapelo Nthite has described an upcoming banking application as the 'Siri for banking'.
Naledi is guaranteed to make life easier.
The online banking application powered by artificial intelligence will allow users to make transactions via text or voice in their preferred languages - English, isiXhosa, isiZulu and Setswana.
It also helps users become more financially literate - helping with saving and spending by using data analytics and past behaviours.
The app is set to be launched over the coming months.
Naledi is not a stand-alone app, we allow users to interact with their banks on WhatsApp or platforms that they are already on.
Thapelo Nthite, Co-founder and CEO - Botlhale AI Solutions
Currently Naledi would run independently from the banks but we have entered into a couple of discussions with banks looking at partnerships in order to roll out Naledi to their huge client base.
