Standard Bank marks 21 years of its partnership with the Joy of Jazz this year, as well as 35 years in its support of the arts.
The milestone will be celebrated with a special showcase next weekend by bringing together some of the artists recognised through its Standard Bank Young Artist (SBYA) Awards over the years.
An all-star band performance will take place at the event featuring previous award winners such as Shannon Mowday, Sibongile Khumalo, Nduduzo Makhathini, Concord Nkabinde, Gloria Bosman, Bokani Dyer and more.
The Joy of Jazz is set to take place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 26-28 September.
Standard Bank head of sponsorship Desiree Pooe says the reason for the long-lasting relationship between the bank and the Joy of Jazz can be attributed to the constant quality and growth of the festival.
This is a story that comes of age this... and more importantly, it has helped us create a performance platform for our greatest musicians in South Africa and elsewhere on the continent.— Desiree Pooe, Head of sponsorship - Standard Bank
