'Presidential Economic Advisory Council needs direction and purpose'

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed members for the Presidential Economic Advisory Council with effect from Tuesday.

The council will be expected to establish clear protocols for engaging with other critical structures such as the National Economic Development and Labour Council.

I don't think that these new mechanisms by Ramaphosa are bad ideas, the problem is that you need to give them some kind of direction and purpose. You cant use them as a broad sweeping consensus mechanism.
