Author Fred Khumalo has reached the ninth day on his journey highlighting the journey of 7,000 Zulu mineworkers who walked from the gold mines in Johannesburg to Natal nearly 120 years ago.
Khumalo shares his experience.
The first day was the toughest but over the next three or four days, the body has acclimatised and thankfully the weather has also been very kind.— Fred Khumalo, author
Asked whether he will be on time for the book launch of his novel The Longest March in Durban on 17 October, Khumalo says he definitely will.
I have only one day to go before I finish the march. From Ladysmith I get in a car, so I will definitely make my launch.— Fred Khumalo, author
