'I have gained a lot of confidence because of the programme'

Mathapelo Matsolo is a trade marketer for Nedbank and a beneficiary of the Youth Employment Service (YES).

She joined the programme in March after being unemployed for a long time.

Speaking to Joanne Joseph on the Afternoon Drive, Matsolo says she has gained multiple skills through the programme and says it has helped build her confidence.

I have had training such as having a growth mindset and setting your goals. We have had social media training in terms of what to say and what not to say.

Mathapelo Matsolo, YES beneficiary

I am more like an introvert but it has helped me in terms of talking to people, communication skills, having to work in different types of environments. I have really gained a lot of confidence because of the programme.
