Temperatures to reach mid-30s in weekend heatwave

Gauteng residents are in the grips of extremely hot weather which shows no sign of letting up this weekend.

Climatologist Simon Gear says weather forecasts indicate that temperatures will continue to reach above 30 degrees celsius on Saturday and Sunday.

We're forecasting that temperatures will get up to the mid-30s for Joburg and Pretoria, today, tomorrow and Sunday.
