Reach For A Dream fulfills teenager's wish to meet Cyril Ramaphosa
In late July 702's Breakfast with Bongani received a call from Reach For A Dream Foundation chief executive officer Julia Sotirianakos.
She appealed to listeners to help a teenager with a life-threatening, auto-immune disease, make her dream a reality by meeting President Cyril Ramaphosa.
This past weekend, the teenager's dream was realised as she finally met the president.
Bongani Bingwa chats to Sotirianakos and Presidency chief director for communications Tyrone Seale.
Meeting the president was an incredible moment for her and it is one that she will remember for the rest of her life. As you know these types of dreams don't happen quickly and that is why we appealed to you to help us - a big thank you to you and your team.Julia Sotirianakos, CEO - Reach For A Dream
She says even though the president is very busy, a meeting was arranged and the teenager's dream was fulfilled.
She presented him with a Reach For A Dream teddy bear which we give our children and she called it Promise as her dream was fulfilled.Julia Sotirianakos, CEO - Reach For A Dream
Seale says the president was inspired by meeting the young woman.
It was her personal dream and they had a wonderful few minutes together.Tyrone Seale, Chief director for communications - Presidency
