Eusebius asks: How tone-deaf can Ndlozi be?
In the midst of celebrations over the weekend for the Springboks Rugby World Cup win, social media was divided over Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) spokesperson Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi's tweet.
Congratulations to #SiyaKolisi... the rest go get your congratulations from Prince Harry— Mbuyiseni Ndlozi (@MbuyiseniNdlozi) November 2, 2019
Eusebius McKaiser says many people on Twitter do not listen to people with different views from them.
He says Ndlozi's tweet was in bad taste and people should be allowed to celebrate the Springboks victory.
You think to yourself can you be that tone-deaf?Eusebius McKaiser, Show host
I thought, my God here we have a moment. A moment doesn't transform structural injustices. But no idiot truly thinks that the rugby world cup win will translate into suddenly a post-racism nirvana in South Africa.Eusebius McKaiser, Show host
Dr Ndlozi thinks you are stupid and you don't know Siya lifting the cup doesn't mean that racism and poverty are gone or Eben is a cool guy. Of course, we know those things.Eusebius McKaiser, Show host
The EFF leadership think they have a monopoly in understanding reality, which is also irritating.Eusebius McKaiser, Show host
