The MMC for Finance in the City of Joburg, Funzela Ngobeni, says the municipality is working to restore its call centre system which has been offline for several days.

A number of 702 listeners have described their frustrated attempts to call the City of Johannesburg hotlines this week.
Ngobeni has explained the multiple factors behind why the call centre has been unreachable.
He says that the call centre was initially shut down following the cyberattack last week.
The city then left the call centre system offline in order to implement some upgrades.
As it prepared to restore the system, a legal dispute arose with its internet service. provider.
