Caller defends Sho Madjozi's two-channels statement

Social media was dissatisfied with WWE superstar John Cena's statement that South Africa has only two channels.

During an interview, the star mentioned that his favourite song at the moment is John Cena by Sho Madjozi and that Madjozi came from humble beginnings where she only had two TV channels.

Callers to the Eusebius McKaiser on 702 show discussed the matter, with some clarifying the statements made by Madjozi and Cena.

I was born in a small village in Limpopo so I could say to some extent I have a shared lived experience with this young lady. Until I was much older, the only television access I had was at my neighbours and that man only watched two or three things. What Sho Madjozi said cannot be taken as some misrepresentation for how she grew up because that is her experience. She is telling the truth and we should be celebrating her.
