Brics summit calls for UN Security Council reforms
The 11th Brics Summit was held in Brazil on Wednesday and Thursday under the theme 'Economic Growth for an Innovative Future'.
Leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa gathered for the Brics Summit.

South Africa has gained global recognition because of the summit, but I do think that there are some areas where we need to move forward. We would like to see more traction in terms of getting more projects through the National Development Bank.Sanusha Naidu, Political analyst
In the Brics declaration, the countries are calling for the reform of the United Nations Security Council whose powers they believe are asymmetrical, she explains.
