The water shutdown will start at 11pm on Monday.

Johannesburg Water says there will be planned water interruption on 25 November 2019 at about 23:00 into the next day due to emergency valve repairs.

Affected suburbs are Atholl Gardens, Benmore, Gardens, Hurlingham, Hurlingham Gardens, Inanda, Illovo, Parkmore, Morningside, Sandhurst, Strathavon, Sandton, Sandown and Wierda Valley.

Joburg Water spokesperson Isaac Dhludhlu says water is expected to be restored on Tuesday, 26 November at 16:00.

There is a burst pipe that is affecting supply in that area. The shutdown will happen tonight but the reservoirs will start running empty some time tomorrow morning around 8:00 or 09:00.
