Case of man accused of killing Precious Ramabulana postponed to end of January

The man accused of killing 21-year-old Limpopo student Precious Ramabulana appeared in the Molemole Magistrates Court on Monday.

Ramabulana was found dead in her room off-campus last Sunday and had apparently been stabbed 52 times and it’s alleged she may have been raped.

Court proceedings were off to a slow start as the accused, Aubrey Manaka's lawyers initially tried to oppose the media broadcasting the case but later abandoned their bid, Modise reports.

Manaka has been charged with rape, murder and robbery under aggravating circumstances. The matter was postponed to 30 January.
