PIC heads to court to force Steinhoff to release PwC report
The Public Investment Corporation (PIC) is taking legal action to compel Steinhoff to hand over PwC's report on what led to the retailer’s accounting scandal.
The PIC told Parliament's standing committee of Finance that is believes the report is critical for it to pursue directors involved in the scandal.
Eyewitness News reporter Gaye Davis has more.
I think Steinhoff is going to resist legal action that the PIC says it is going to move ahead with.Gaye Davis, Reporter - Eyewitness News
The report is the outcome of the investigation that was carried out by PwC at the behest of Steinhoff once the extent of the fraud emerged. I am told the report in itself is massive.Gaye Davis, Reporter - Eyewitness News
All that Steinhoff has released so far is an executive summary but obviously the devil lies in the detail and the PIC says it is critical that they get hold of the report.Gaye Davis, Reporter - Eyewitness News
