we have a game changer

Journalist and author Richard Poplak discusses how the publication has survived in difficult times for the past 10 years.

The development of independent media in South Africa has seen a few publishing houses either closing down or changing owners over the past years.

Daily Maverick, however, has been in existence for a decade.

To discuss the milestone of the publication and the newly released book, We have a Game Changer — a decade of Daily Maverick, Nickolaus Bauer on the Eusebius McKaiser Show chats to journalist and author Richard Poplak.

The Daily Maverick was like a miracle baby to have a start-up media child, reach a decade.

Richard Poplak, Journalist and author

He says he was one of the journalists that worked for Branko Brkic who was the editor-in-chief and publisher of Daily Maverick.
