Public Protector Mkhwebane clears Baleka Mbete, Faith Muthambi in reports

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has released 24 reports which she has discussed with the media on Thursday.

Mkhwebane informed the journalists that her office had a positive year with a few minor setbacks.

Eyewitness News reporter Kgomotso Modise has more.

The Public Protector had a list of cases she has closed and she says it is because they were all unsubstantiated. And as part of their bid to clear the backlog because the office of the Public Protector has two years to work through these cases.

She has closed cases against Baleka Mbete, Faith Muthambi and Tina Joemat-Pettersson.
