The OR Tambo International Airport says it has put a series of safety measures in place as it anticipates more than 3.6 million passengers to fly in and out of South Africa until January.
The airport says it is working with the South African Police Services and the law enforcement cluster at the airport.
OR Tambo International Airport spokesperson Betty Maloka says there have been arrests so far.
