Convicted racist Vicki Momberg's lawyer Anesh Sukdeo says the arrest of Vicki Momberg on the 6th of November 2019 was unlawful, claiming there was no warrant of arrest.
She suing for a total of R8,5 million for unlawful arrest and detention for 50 days.
Momberg has instituted legal action against Police Minister Bheki Cele and National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) head Shamila Batohi.
Momberg, a former estate agent, was found guilty of crimen injuria after she used the K-word more than 40 times during an altercation with a police officer in 2016.
A warrant for her arrest was issued on 1 August after she failed in her bid to appeal a crimen injuria conviction and two-year jail sentence.
