Parents rush for last-minute school uniform shopping

Parents are rushing for last-minute shopping for stationery and school uniforms before schools open tomorrow for the 2020 academic year.

Gauteng MEC for Education Panyaza Lesufi earlier on Tuesday said all learners have been placed but some parents were not happy with the school they got.

Eyewitness News reporter Kgomotso Modise is in Booyesens where parents are lining up for last-minute shopping.

Speaking to Joanne Joseph, Modise says the queue is getting longer.

I spoke to a grandmother who says they got their text at 12 in the afternoon and they could only then go and buy their school uniform.
