'There are talks about possible talks with UDM,' says Zille on coalition in NMB
Is the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the United Democratic Movement (UDM) in talks to enter into a coalition in Nelson Mandela Bay?
DA federal council chairperson Helen Zille joins Nickolaus Bauer to clarify the rumours.
Coalition governments are the future of South Africa whether people believe it or not; it is going to be the future of the country for a long time. We are not having specific conversations yet about Nelson Mandela Bay.Helen Zille, Federal council chairperson - DA
At local level, Zille says there were talks after Mongameli Bobani and Athol Trollip left as to whether there could be a resurrection of discussions on a coalition.
There are still talks about possible talks and one would go into that to see whether we can save that municipality from a complete plunder and the total corruption of the African National Congress.Helen Zille, Federal council chairperson - DA
