Discovery Vitality team going the extra mile to fix rewards point system

Discovery Vitality says it is working through the night to ensure some of its clients retrieve the 100 instant miles they lost this week and that the issue will be fixed by Tuesday.

Members have complained that they were unable to get their well earned free coffees and smoothies for achieving their fitness goals as they were not allocated their correct points.

The rewards point system is currently undergoing some changes and being revamped as high-level instant rewards will be replaced with instant Discovery Miles.

Joanne Joseph spoke to Discovery Vitality CEO Dinesh Govender to find out more.

Unfortunately this week, the hundred miles was missing for many of our members. That will be fixed by the end of tomorrow and everyone will have at least 150 miles for each goal that they have completed.

Dinesh Govender, CEO - Discovery Vitality

He explains how the new system works, saying there are many more ways to earn points.

Members who want a coffee every day or every week can choose to go that route. Other members can choose to accumulate for a while and get not just a shopping voucher at Woolworths or Dischem but go all the way up to buying a flight with it.

Dinesh Govender, CEO - Discovery Vitality

So many more ways to earn, many more ways to spend and five-year longevity. I have to apologise for the transition which made it look like it was inferior, it is going to be much more valuable to our members and we are very excited about it, we know members will be too.
