Former Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba says there will be a new political party in June this year which will contest next year's local government elections.
Mashaba on 702Breakfast said his new organisation called the People's Dialogue will target the 18 million voters who didn't vote.

It is important that we call it South African citizens under a movement for change. We are already recruiting South Africans from all parts of the country. To bring change is not going to take one individual, it will take a network of citizens.— Mmusi Maimane, Activist
South Africans need a movement that will hold public representatives accountable, he says.
