Lesufi suspends Parktown Boys' High principal, trip to lodge 'not authorised'

Following the death of Enock Mpianzi, Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi on Friday suspended Parktown Boys' High School principal Malcolm Williams with immediate effect.

Lesufi said this when he released the education department's report into the death of the 13-year-old who drowned at a Parktown Boys' High School Grade 8 orientation camp last Wednesday.

The MEC said that the trip to the Nyati Bush and River Break lodge was not even authorised.

Clement Manyathela chats to EWN reporter Kgomotso Modise to give insight on the story.

We also heard that officials from the department who handled the application by the school to go on camp have also been suspended.
