The Information Regulator is asking President Cyril Ramaphosa to declare that the remaining provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act (PoPI) commence on 1 April 2020.
If this is done, companies who unlawfully share your personal information with third parties could face stiff fines or even jail-time soon.
