The Pietermaritzburg High Court has issued a warrant of arrest for former president Jacob Zuma for failing to appear in court on Tuesday.
Zuma's lawyers told the court that he was unavailable as he was allegedly out of the country for medical treatment.
The warrant will be implemented if the former president fails to appear in court on 6 May.
Zuma is facing corruption charges linked to the arms deal.
Clement Manyathela on the Midday Report chats to EWN reporter Nkosikhona Duma who is following the story.

The judges disputed the sick note presented by Zuma's lawyer as the letter didn't have a date and had alterations which the lawyer couldn't answer for, Duma responds.
