ANC notes Zuma arrest warrant but Youth League task team says it's 'disgusting'

After the Pietermaritzburg High Court issued an arrest warrant for former president Jacob Zuma for failing to appear in court on Tuesday, the African National Congress (ANC) says it notes and respects the court's decision.

Zuma is facing corruption charges linked to the arms deal.

Clement Manyathela chats to party representative Dakota Legoete and National Youth task team spokesperson Sizophila Mkhize.

Zuma is a former president of the ANC and a leader in his own right so any developments surrounding him is a matter of public interest.

The party's National Youth task team says however it finds the warrant of arrest as disgusting.

It has been presented to the court of law that the former president is sick and there has been proof written in black and white, that he is not well and therefore cannot attend the court.
