Five men nabbed for child pornography in Gauteng appear in court
Five men arrested by the Gauteng police for the possession of explicit child abuse material have all appeared in court.
In an operation code-named “Moonlight”, police officials, working with the US Department of Homeland Security, apprehended the alleged sexual predators in Pretoria and Kempton Park over the past week.
Joanne Joseph spoke to colonel Brenda Muridili to find out more about the operation.
All of them have already appeared in court, we are not mentioning their names as we are still investigating as to the material that has been confiscated - if we will be able to identify some of those children as South African children.Colonel Brenda Muridili
She says once the children are identified, they will receive counselling.
