Government committed to reduce data costs - Minister Cwele

Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services Siyabonga Cwele says he has approached Icasa to do a market study and find out the extent of competition between service providers.

Cwele says his department needs to ensure there is competition between providers as this is key to driving down data costs.

With such a mature market we have in South Africa, you will expect that the prices actually come down.
