A 14-year-old Freedom Park Secondary School pupil has been stabbed to death allegedly by a fellow Grade 10 pupil.
The police are searching for the suspected attacker.
Sixteen pupils have died in Gauteng schools since the start of the new school year.
The Gauteng Education Department in a statement condemned the attack.
Clement Manyathela on the Midday Report speaks to Gauteng Education spokesperson Steve Mabona to give more insight on the stabbing.
We are at a loss for words, we received the news that the incidence occurred. We are told that in the afternoon, two pupils who were in the same class, while they were far from home, the incidence took place.
