2020 BUDGET SPEECH: Cosatu urges government to deal with wastage

Labour organisations have shared their expectations for the 2020 Budget Speech, insisting that it not be an austerity budget.

Finance Minister Tito Mboweni is set to address Parliament on Wednesday Afternoon.

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) deputy president Mike Shingange says austerity is of no help to the economy.

He says government needs to look into wastage.

Even before cutting the expenditure, there is a lot of wastage that has to be dealt with.
