Acapella group The Soil is back in studio and recording new music.
The trio will be performing some of their new singles at the Silverstar Casino Ballroom on 28 and 29 February.
Some of the music is taken off their fourth album set to be released this year.
Two members of the group - Luphindo Ngxanga and Ntsika Fana Ngxanga joined Azania Mosaka for this week's 702 Unplugged.
We won't stop until there is a best acapella category at the South African Music Awards and scoop a few Grammys. We want to take it to the world— Ntsika Fana Ngxanga, Member of The Soil
Without revealing too much about their new sound, Ntsika had this to say:
We want to show our audiences that uNtsika, uBuhle and Phi, they once seperated to go do these other ventures and as individual brands they have a signature sound now with instruments, other people they have collaborated with...— Ntsika Fana Ngxanga, Member of The Soil
Luphindo says the album is long overdue.
It is going to blow people's minds. We have been at it, featuring hip-hop artists that are not known... I think it's time for them [audiences] to hear the matured version of The Soil.— Luphindo Ngxanga, Member of The Soil
