- start small
You can't do the whole house at once. Preserve your energy and target smaller areas in your home (e.g. toy box and closet).
- make the tasks age-appropriate and manageable for your kids
Keep in mind your child's attention span and interests. Find something they can enjoy doing.
- give everything a home, give it away or sell it
Separate items according to what should be kept, donated and sold.
- make it fun
Turn tasks into games or time challenges. Introduce music and dancing or offer rewards for the work they accomplish.
