Listener shares her pain and anguish at not being able to hug her grandchildren

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the nation on Monday evening on COVID-19.

The number of confirmed positive cases is currently on 274.

During the Family Matters segment on the Eusebius McKaiser Show, a grandmother shared how the pandemic has affected her family.

Granny Kay says it has been hard for her to explain to her grandchildren aged five and seven why she can't hug them for now.

She adds they have been going through a difficult time since they lost their father seven months ago.

Their mom explained what COVID-19 is and why they can't hug granny but they can't get around the concept of living with us in the same house but can't give them the love they desire.
