Earlier today, government said it’s doing everything it can to determine through diplomatic channels why 10 South Africans have been arrested in China.
The group was arrested on Friday but news of their detention emerged only two days later.
Gift of the Givers has said the group was accused of having links to a terror organisation, but said that this claim is absolutely untrue.
The Department of International Relations’ Nelson Kgwete says there is no official explanation yet for why the group was taken into custody.
