Sassa grant recipients endure long queues to receive their payouts
The elderly at various Sassa pay points in Khayelitsha endured long queues to receive their social grant payments on Monday morning.
Eyewitness News reporter Kevin Brandt says some turned back, saying they would try again the next day.

A lot of frustration with regards to no social distancing between some of the recipients who made their way to the pay points saying that the message to ensure safety and to drive the covid-19 safekeeping messages to some of the residents in this community, hasn't really landed here.Kevin Brandt, Reporter - EWN
Brandt says there appeared to be a more meticulous process in terms of the management of recipients in Town Two in Khayelitsha.
