Disability and older persons grants will be paid from the 4th day of the month. All other payments will be made from the 6th.

Social grants payouts have been changed for the month of May going forward.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has announced that from May 2020, disability and older persons grants will be paid from the 4th day of the month.

All other grants will be paid from the 6th of every month.

The agency says it split the dates as a way to avoid crowding in these times of social distancing.
