R43 million for food parcels may not be enough - Minister Lindiwe Zulu
Minister of Social Development Lindiwe Zulu says the number of people who are are applying food parcels during the lockdown is increasing.
Through the South African Social Security Agency's (Sassa) social relief of distress programme, the department is able to assist people in dire material need that they are unable to meet their families’ most basic needs.
Speaking to Eusebius McKaiser, Zulu says people should allow the department to plan accordingly so they do not run out of funds in the long run.
